The provided bar graph presents the megawatts of power produced by wind plants in 4 countries India, Denmark, Germany and United States grouped by production data from 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000.
As an overall trend, amount of energy generated by wind power stations grew across all countries and years in more than 2 times. Turning point happened in last two periods given, when India and Denmark grew their wind energy output most significantly. At the same time, power growth slowed down in Germany and sightly decreased in United States.
Now, turning to the details, in 2000 all countries produced more than 900 megawatts of wind energy each, contributing to around 5200 megawatts generated in total. Compared to 1985 when in the whole the wind power output was only around 2000 megawatts.
As shown in the chart, most energy output growth was propelled by wind energy production rise in 2 countries India and Denmark. Their contribution grew almost 2 times between each given year. While Germany’s rise was not as dramatic over the years, and United States’ output slightly dropped, they still input almost half of all produced wind energy in 2000 that helped to increase the growth of the sector overall.
